Edgar Tate "Trey" Simmons III

September 27, 1965 - October 20,2014 Edgar Tate Simmons III, or Trey as he was better known, grew up in Mobile, AL. He is survived by his Father Edgar Tate Simmons, Jr., Step-mother Louise Simmons, Mother Rebecca Ragan, Step-father Thomas Meadows, two sisters, Ragan Davies and Susannah Oakley, Step-sister Stephanie Meadows and Step-brother Kevin Pina, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, Aunts and an Uncle. He was a local swimmer who excelled on a competative level, attended B.C. Rain High School, graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Florida International University , was a diver in the U.S. Army, resided in Key West, FL. before ultimately moving to Riverside California. He was an amazing and sought after swim instructor to all ages. He had a passion for coaching competative swimming. He also swam at a Master's level as an adult. The water brought him the most joy second to simply being with friends and family. He was a devoted son, brother, and undeniably the most amazing Uncle any child could ask for. He had a gift for making each and every child in the family feel that they were the light of the world. Trey was a saved christian who has gone home to be with the Lord. He will be missed and forever loved by those he left behind. Trey chose to be cremated and his ashes to be scattered in the open waters he swam in as a child.
